Celtic fans can sit back and continue to enjoy Hearts’ downfall.
Once the post-split fixtures arrived, Celtic hit a gear no one else in Scottish football could live with, dispatching Hearts and playing a key role as Rangers collapsed to a third-place finish, despite being title favourites in late April.
One vocal figure during Hearts’ surprise title challenge this season has been Scottish football pundit Ewen Cameron.
To say he has been dishing it out over the season, especially to Celtic fans, would be an understatement, but now that Derek McInnes has joined Rangers, along with Lawrence Shankland, all of this has well and truly broken him.
What’s also interesting is how Cameron has been raging at McInnes’ actions ever since the final whistle blew at Celtic Park on May 16.
“I am kind of p____d off with Derek McInnes because I haven’t heard a peep from him since we lost the league,” said Cameron on social media.
“The first thing we hear from Derek McInnes is him talking about Rangers. The Hearts fans deserve better than that.”
Should Celtic fans be delighted Rangers are turning to Derek McInnes?
Or are we underestimating him?

Hearts’ tears continue following Celtic’s dramatic title win
The manner in which Martin O’Neill won the title has utterly broken Hearts. They were at the top of the Premiership table for months and months.
But there is a reason why Celtic are the champions of Scotland, because even during a campaign where so many things have gone wrong, they still won the domestic double.
Given what unfolded during that final week of the season, including Celtic’s dramatic win over Motherwell, there was a lot of noise coming from McInnes before the final-day showdown.
You also had a lot of noise around Hearts seemingly being forced to leave Glasgow straight after the game, when the referee blew his whistle and also the pitch invasion.
But absolutely nothing from the usually talkative McInnes.
What makes it even more hilarious is that Cameron is absolutely raging; the first time he finally hears from McInnes isn’t during his mandatory media duties after Celtic’s title win, but rather when he’s suddenly parading around in Rangers colours.
“I just want to say a few words about Derek McInnes being unveiled as the new Rangers manager,” said Cameron. “We don’t discuss it on the latest episode of the radio football show because I wasn’t in the mood for it.
“I won’t lie, it’s s__t. It hasn’t been a good month. Losing the league on the final day of the season. Losing your captain a week later.
“Now here we are, and Derek McInnes is the Rangers manager, so, yeah, really s__t.
“I am kind of p____d off with Derek McInnes because I haven’t heard a peep from him since we lost the league.
“The first thing we hear from Derek McInnes is him talking about Rangers. The Hearts fans deserve better than that. Derek, I thought you were better than that. Let’s not forget Derek; you were skitting about with Kilmarnock. You were in the Championship a couple of years ago. We gave you an opportunity to work at a big football club, and you did a great job for us.
“But the Hearts fans deserve better. Where have you been? You said nothing to the Hearts support. I think you have let yourself down.”
