Ben Doak has had a football education since leaving Celtic for Liverpool in 2022.

Young Doak made his Celtic debut under Ange Postecoglou in 1-0 win over Dundee United at Parkhead in January 2022.

In the following few months, the young attacker left Celtic for Liverpool for a £600,000 fee as Doak chased a Premier League dream at Anfield.

And now, three summers on, former Celtic Academy starlet Doak is set to leave Liverpool for another Premier League club as a former Champions League winning side also make an approach.

Ex-Celtic talent Ben Doak to leave Liverpool as Port circle

Doak is on the brink of making a £25m Liverpool exit to Bournemouth this summer.

The Guardian’s Ben Jacobs posted on X, “Bournemouth are close to an agreement with Liverpool for Ben Doak in the region of £25m, as Guardian Sport called.

“Porto have also made an approach.”

So after just 10 first-team appearances for the Anfield club, Liverpool look set to bank an incredible £24.4m profit on Doak just three years later.

How much Celtic could bank if Ben Doak’s £25m Liverpool exit happens

Celtic fans may well be thinking the club could be set for another cash windfall after seeing the Parkhead coffers swell after a Jeremie Frimpong sell-on clause netted Celtic circa £6.7m.

But for Doak, the Parkhead club will not receive a single penny.

This is because the £600,000 fee Celtic received from Liverpool in 2022 was a compensation payment and not part of any deal brokered to take the Scotland international to Anfield.
