Celtic aren’t the only ones enduring a miserable Europa League campaign because it’s far worse for OGC Nice.
The French side, who were also in the Europa League last season, are sitting bottom of the league phase, with zero points to their name and already out of the competition.
On Thursday night, as Celtic were outclassed by AS Roma at Parkhead, Nice were beaten 1-0 at home to Braga, and there was hardly anyone at the Allianz Riviera to witness it.
The Nice supporters are voting with their feet, as their ultras express their disgust towards their board, INEOS, who own the club, and everything else that goes with it.

OGC Nice fans protest for Europa League clash against Braga
Celtic fans have protested in many ways this season, including the Not Another Penny campaign.
Given how Celtic dealt with their Champions League qualifiers and their failure to reach club football’s elite competition, many called for Europa League matches to be boycotted.
That clearly hasn’t happened because strong crowds have still turned up to watch European matches this season.
But it’s fair to say that Nice supporters have shown how it’s done, because as you can see from the footage from Get French Football News’ social media account, just over 12,000 fans turned up against Braga, and that’s including the away following.
What is happening at OGC Nice?
Nice have recently condemned their supporters in the ‘strongest possible terms’ after accusing their supporters of physically confronting their players and staff following a Ligue 1 match against Lorient at the end of November.
The French club have lost eight games on the bounce in all competitions, sitting bottom of their Europa League group, and hovering above the relegation zone at home after finishing fourth last term.
Just like at Celtic, the Nice fans want board members, such as the club’s sporting director, Florian Maurice, to resign.
INEOS, who also have shares in Manchester United, acquired Nice in 2019, led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, but fast forward to the present, and things have turned very sour, very quickly.
Ironically enough, Nice also failed to win their Champions League qualifiers this season, losing to Benfica, and the club’s recruitment was questioned.
But unlike the Hoops, Nice aren’t exactly posting profits, but producing financial losses under INEOS.
And it seems like Nice also have their own version of Dermot Desmond because Jim Ratcliffe has been silent on the chaos as it unfolds.
