A former Celtic midfielder is now being mentioned as a surprise option to replace Brendan Rodgers in the dugout.
It has been just over a week since Rodgers resigned and Martin O’Neill has since been in charge of three games.
A number of names have been linked, while some have already ruled themselves out of the job.
Craig Bellamy insists his focus is on Wales after he was quizzed about the job during a recent press conference, while Mark van Bommel is focusing on family matters for the season.
New links are appearing every day, and a fresh name has cropped up.

Efrain Juarez named as new link for Celtic job
According to the Scottish Sun, former Celtic midfielder Efrain Juarez is a shock new candidate for the job.
Juarez, 37, is one of the youngest to be linked with the Parkhead role after impressing in Colombia with Atletico Nacional before joining UNAM Pumas earlier this year.
Having spent two seasons in Glasgow between 2010-2012 as a player, Juarez became the first Mexican to play in the Scottish Premiership and has a deep affiliation to the city.
He also worked with former Celtic manager Ronny Deila as his assistant at New York City, Standard Liege and Club Brugge.

Efrain Juarez has dreamed of returning to Scotland
The links to Juarez may come as a surprise but for the Mexican, this fits his long-term vision.
His time as a player may not have been the most memorable, but Juarez has always said that coming back to Glasgow would be a dream.
“I’m not going to say the club, for respect to the people already there. But for me, it will be a dream – and I am a dreamer!” he told the Scottish Sun in 2024.
“I had a good time (in Glasgow). It made me grow a lot. It’s a city that has a charm, that has a life. It is also the city where I met my wife, so I have a family because I have been there.”
