Former Celtic B team star, Brody Paterson looks set to leave Hartlepool after just a year at the League Two club. [Daily Record]
The left-back moved on last summer in a bid to find first-team football as competition for places in the Celtic first team became fierce. At that time he was competing against the likes of Greg Taylor, Liam Scales and Boli Bolingoli.
After loan moves to Queens Park and Airdrie, Paterson decided to move on at the end of last season in a bid to kick start his career.
Paterson joined Hartlepool where he teamed up with former Celtic midfielder, Paul Hartley who was the manager at the time.

Hartley was sacked in September 2022 due to Hartlepool’s poor start to the season and was rehired by Cove Rangers in January of this year.
Paterson said the move to the English side was a ‘no brainer’. But injury hampered his time at the club and after just 16 appearances, he was loaned to Cove Rangers in January where he was reunited with Hartley.

But now, it seems that he is being allowed to move in the summer.
Hartlepool have been relegated to the National League after finishing second bottom of League Two.
It is not known if any clubs are interested in Paterson. Injury has plagued his time at Cove Rangers after being ruled out for the season after suffering an ankle injury back in February. [Daily Record via Press Reader]
Wherever he ends up in the summer, we all wish him well as I do like to see former Celtic youth talents go on and do well in the game.
