Former Celtic youth star, Armstrong Okoflex his set to be released by West Ham United at the end of the season. It was announced on the English Premier League side’s website that the 21-year-old will be released when his contract expires on the 30th of June. [West Ham FC]

Celtic, at the time, described Okoflex as ‘highly-rated’ and it seemed like we had a real, genuine talent on our hands.
But after three years at the club, Okoflex made only two appearances for Celtic during the ill-fated ten-in-a-row season. A 29-minute cameo in a 1-1 draw with Hibs and a fleeting 10-minute appearance in a 0-0 draw with Livingston was his only taste of first-team action in the hoops.
He then moved on to West Ham in the summer of that year after signing a two-year deal with the London club.
Almost immediately, it looked like Celtic had let a real talent go. During his first pre-season at West Ham, the fans were immediately impressed with what they were seeing from their new signing.
When his first season commenced, Okoflex was impressing in The Hammers’ u23 side and before too long he was banging in goals for fun.

In order to gain some first-team experience, Okoflex was loaned out to English Championship side, Swansea City. Although he made 13 appearances for the club, every one of them was from the bench.
But now it seems his London dream is over. With no first-team appearances under his belt, Okoflex will definitely be moving on at the end of the season.
There are no indications if there are other clubs interested in taking him on but I am sure there will be no shortage of suitors as he clearly has talent.
