With Celtic looking set to announce Brendan Rodgers as the new manager next week, the Celtic fans can look forward to a summer of transfer speculation as the Irishman will look to put his own stamp on the team.
All the talk surrounding the appointment over the last few days has been about who Rodgers will look to bring with him in his backroom team and, of course, the future of the current Assistant Manager, John Kennedy.
It seems, now, that situation has been resolved as The Sun reports that Rodgers has persuaded Kennedy to stay on at the club.

The 39-year-old had made it clear that he wanted to join Ange Postecoglou at Spurs but Celtic remained firm and blocked any move to take the highly-rated coach to London.
The report says that Kennedy will remain as the Assistant Manager to Rodgers and that he will play a more ‘critical’ role for the incoming Celtic manager.
With the announcement of Rodgers expected as early as tomorrow, the Celtic fans will be refreshing their Twitter and news feeds early doors for the first hint of news from the club.
The re-signing of Rodgers is sure to cause a split among the fans. There is no hiding that fact. The way he left the club at the tail end of the 2019 season when a treble was still to be won still stings for many.

But Rodgers is looking to mend that bond he once enjoyed between himself and that section of the Hoops support.
There is no denying it, though, the capture of such a quality coach stands us in good stead for the season ahead. It’s an appointment that has captured the imagination of all Celtic fans. Whether they agree with it or not.
So now, we wait for the announcement and Rodgers’ first press conference. It will be very interesting to hear his first words on his return to the club.
