Fuming fans send Celtic a familiar message about latest Adidas release

Celtic released the next phase of their Adidas merchandise with a release of classic Samba footwear.

Celtic announced the new Adidas range this morning at 8am as the German sportswear giant put their expertise into the footwear range.

It appears that the club are happy with the design as their social media post said of the new Celtic footwear, “We are thrilled to reveal the brand new Celtic FC x adidas Originals Samba trainers, available to buy in store and online now.”

However, it appears that the Celtic support are not convinced as many send the club a big message over the new Adidas release.

Celtic fans make their feelings perfectly clear about new Adidas gear price

Whilst the design of the new footwear looks good decked in green and white, Celtic supporters are not fooled as they spot a familiar story with another issue with the latest merchandise release.

One eagle-eyed fan noticed something familiar with new Adidas release:

@ReeceMckay67 was not happy and said, “I can get a pair of green and white Gazelles that look so much nicer than these for £30 less. Be sure to spend the rest on that glamour friendly against the mighty Newcastle!”

Another Celtic fan sarcastically replied:

@Stevie67_ hilariously replied, “Only Celtic could reveal something worse than Russell Martin this morning.” as @Bryanmc67 took another pot shot at the price tag, “Only £100. I’m sure you could charge a lot more…”

Celtic will need to listen to fans over future Adidas releases

Now, first off, as Celtic are regarded as an elite-level club with Adidas, there will always be a premium fans need to pay for new merchandise.

However, this isn’t the first time supporters have highlighted the expensive costs of buying new kits, sportswear and now, footwear.

Celtic will need to start listening to supporters as it is clear that from the last three major kit releases and the price of the Newcastle pre-season friendly, fans are starting to get frustrated at the rising costs of supporting and following the club.
