Celtic extended their Adidas deal at the end of the season as the Parkhead club agreed to continue their partnership with the German sportswear giant for the next ten years.

The Adidas deal is worth well over £30m to Celtic and will help continue the club’s excellent financial stability for the next decade.

With the new Celtic strip launch already completed, Adidas have now embarked on the next chapter of their deal as they release new merchandise ahead of the summer.

Celtic release new classic Adidas Samba footwear

Celtic have released new Adidas footwear ahead of the summer as fans get a taste of what the sportswear giant is best known for.

Designed with the famous green and white Hoops in mind, Adidas have focused their design on the classic Samba look.

In a statement on Celtic’s official website, the club describe the footwear as, “The white shoes feature green T-toes as well as the iconic serrated 3-Stripes, plus the club crest proudly displayed on the tongue.

“Born on the pitch, the Samba is a timeless icon of street style. These shoes stay true to their legacy with a soft leather upper and suede overlays.”

Celtic’s new merchandise will likely be a hit with fans but at a cost

Celtic fans are likely to be impressed with the new piece of merchandise as the classic Adidas look has always been popular with supporters.

However, Celtic supporters have long been at loggerheads with the club over the price of any new release and there might be a split reaction on this.

Priced at £100, fans are being asked to fork out more cash after Celtic charged £90 for the Irish Origins kit that was released just three short months ago.

However, there is no denying that the footwear looks tidy and will likely be snapped up by Celtic supporters.
