Brendan Rodgers has led Celtic out of the Champions League group this season.

The Celtic manager booked his place in the playoff places amongst Europe’s elite clubs after the Hoops beat Young Boys at Parkhead on Wednesday night.

Fans can now look forward to another big European night at Celtic Park after Rodgers’ team confirmed their status as one of the best teams in the competition this week.

However, what Rodgers also did was make Gary Lineker send a message to Leicester City fans as The Foxes battle relegation from the English Premier League.

The Hoops boss was eventually sacked after taking The Foxes into the Championship after they were relegated from the English top-tier at the end of last season.

But now, Lineker has told Leicester fans that they have made a mistake after the Celtic boss’ successes in the Champions League this season.

Lineker told The Rest Is Football [25m 10s], “A brilliant result for Brendan Rodgers and a reminder to all those Leicester fans that wanted to get him out.

“We had a top-class manager then. We had a top-class manager then. Be careful what you wish for.”
