This is going to be a big week for Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou.
Two years after leaving Celtic and joining Tottenham Hotspur during the summer of 2023, the Treble-winner at Parkhead could be out of the door at the English Premier League side by Thursday night.
Postecoglou has been under immense pressure for months and months now, as Spurs, in the league, are sitting in the bottom half.

It’s a far cry from the days of Postecoglou dominating at Celtic and putting Rangers in their place, just like Brendan Rodgers is doing once again.
It’s understandable because the Premier League stage is more competitive, and Spurs aren’t regular trophy winners like Celtic.
But, ahead of Tottenham’s crunch Europa League second-leg quarter-final match against Eintracht Frankfurt, Gary Lineker was seemingly changing his mind about Postecoglou.

Gary Lineker is pulling no punches on Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham
Postecoglou has divided opinion like no other in the Premier League, from his style of play to how he conducts himself in the media.
But, after months and months of scrutiny, Lineker feels the pressure is now ‘too much’ for the Celtic hero, and that this is the ‘first time’ he has been part of a failing side, as he told The Rest Is Football.
Lineker noted Postecoglou’s success at his previous clubs, but didn’t hold back in criticising the 59-year-old because he is now ‘whining a little bit’.
“I have stuck up for the football club, and I enjoy watching Spurs play,” said Lineker. “It’s almost like it has got a bit too much for him, the way things are going. It’s not easy dealing with defeat after defeat or struggling performances.
“But I think, in terms of the press conferences. Saying things like, ‘the footballing Gods are against us’. Even if you do get a bit of bad luck, constantly, ‘the world is against us’. Whining a little bit.
“It’s probably the first time he has had an awful patch as a coach and manager. Everyone else he has been.
“Obviously, the Premier League is a sterner test than he has had before, I think that’s fair to say. There is still a possibility that he could end up winning a trophy and qualifying for the Champions League. But I think it’s a long shot now.
“His body language, at present, almost suggests that he is downbeat. That’s not what you need as a player. You need your manager to lift you up when things are not going that well. It’s a shame.”
Will Daniel Levy sack Ange Postecoglou even if Tottenham win the Europa League?
Tottenham haven’t won a trophy since 2008, no Champions League trophy/European Cup, no FA Cup in over 30 years, no league title since 1960, and no European trophy (UEFA Cup) since the 1980s.
Yet, there is this immense pressure on Postecoglou to win something, and even then, he could still be booted out.
According to journalist Ian Ladyman, even winning the Europa League, which would book a Champions League ticket for Spurs, could see Daniel Levy sack Postecoglou, as he told It’s All Kicking Off.
“What I’m told, now that you asked me, is that the Europa League success or failure, the winner of the Europa League, of course, qualifies for the Champions League,” stated Ladyman.
“I’m told by someone at Tottenham that, no matter what happens in the Europa League, that will not be what makes Daniel Levy’s mind up for him.”
