Celtic’s left-back spot is a position that could be very strong come next season.
Kieran Tierney is already set for a Celtic Park return, with Tierney rejecting multiple European teams in order to return to the club he loves.
The current left-back is Greg Taylor, who’s had a solid season for the Bhoys.
He’s managed a career-best seven assists in the league with Celtic on the hunt for another treble.

Despite coming under some criticism for his performances in Europe, Taylor has done well domestically and could be good competition with Tierney for the left-back spot.
However, his future at the club has been uncertain of late, with the 27-year-old’s contract expiring in the summer.
There’d been the suggestion that Taylor would choose to leave due to Tierney’s arrival, and there hadn’t been too much noise on contract talks.
There’s now been some much needed clarity added to the situation.
Greg Taylor reportedly offered three-year deal by Celtic
According to the Daily Record, Celtic have offered Greg Taylor a three-year deal on improved terms to try and keep him at the club.
Dinamo Zagreb had been leading the chase for the full-back, but the new deal would keep Taylor at Celtic Park until 2028 on a significant wage increase.
While he would still be back-up to Kieran Tierney, Celtic are very keen on keeping him at the club.
Tierney’s post-Celtic career has been hampered by injuries, so Taylor could still see healthy minutes with the Bhoys.

Chris Sutton says Celtic should be “chaining Taylor to the front door” as the contract talks rumble on.
In his Daily Record column, Sutton said although Taylor is not “Champions League standard”, the 27-year-old is still an important figure for the Bhoys as he fits in perfectly with how Brendan Rodgers wants to play.
The former striker added that Tierney is fit for Champions League action, so both players can play their roles on the domestic and European fronts.
Celtic fans react to Greg Taylor being offered a new contract
Celtic fans have responded to the news of Greg Taylor reportedly being offered a new and improved contract by the club.
One fan welcomed the news due to the tactical difference he offers: “Happy if he stays he has an entirely different skill set than Tierney and can invert better too.”
Another fan agreed: “Gives us 2 types of LB thankfully. Taylor great for when we need to overload the midfield, Tierney for overlapping the winger.”
However, not everyone has been positive about the prospect of Taylor committing his future to the club.

One supporter believes there’s an existing option at the club who should be prioritised: “Would much rather Schlupp or someone else.”
Another Bhoy spotted a potential problem with the left-back staying: “The bigger issue is the manager saying for two years that he wants ‘pace and power’ and then resigning Taylor.”
The overall sentiment definitely seemed to be positive amongst Celtic fans over the prospect of having a very solid deputy for Kieran Tierney next season in Greg Taylor.
