Celtic’s dressing room at Hampden has been given a makeover ahead of the Scottish League Cup final against Rangers on Sunday.
The Bhoys face the Ibrox side for the first silverware of the Scottish football season. They’ll arrive at the national stadium full of confidence and belief having not been beaten in domestic football since September.
Images of the dressing room images popped up on social media this evening via the Celtic Underground Twitter account.
A series of motivational slogans can be seen including “individual brilliance, collective dominance”, “one team, one vision”, “play with no fear” and “pace, power and intensity”.
All of them are easily recognisable as the kind of messaging we’ve heard from Ange Postecoglou and his coaching staff since the Australian arrived at the club.
You’d imagine Postecoglou’s final team talk to his players could be one for the ages given the kind of comments he’s already been putting out in the media this week.
Combined with all this imagery and recent form, the Celtic players should head out onto the pitch feeling ten feet tall, led by captain Callum McGregor.
That in itself is no guarantee of victory. Rangers are unlikely to make it easy considering their own upturn in form under Michael Beale, but as long as the Bhoys play to the best of their abilities, fans will be proud of the team’s efforts.
With less than 48 hours to go until kick-off, that understandable feeling of tension is rising alongside the excitement. We can all feel it in the conversations we’re having with friends and family.
But this group have shown time and again that they can deliver. They’ve earned the trust and backing of every Celtic supporter inside Hampden on Sunday, and beyond.
It’ll be a famous, unforgettable victory if the Bhoys pull it off.
