The Hollywood legend watched Celtic’s draw with Rangers at Ibrox from the LA Celtic Supporters Club in Santa Monica.
The game kicked off at 4AM local time, but that didn’t stop Black from joining his Celtic-supporting colleague, Tony Curran, to watch the derby.
And as anyone who has done it will know, watching from a CSC abroad is one of the best ways to watch Celtic.

Curran took to X to share a photo of the two actors, with the caption: “Feels like a win for us, feels like a loss for them! Tell me I’m wrong?
“Hell of a come back, what a game of football! We march on! Jack and Ginger were watching!”

Black is a powerhouse American actor known for his roles in a vast range of films and series.
Catapulted to stardom in the 2003 film School of Rock, his prolific voice acting career has also seen him land well-known roles in Kung Fu Panda and The Super Mario Bros Movie.
Curran is a lifelong active Celtic fan. His grandfather, Tommy Riley, was a scout at Celtic in the 1960s, visiting Danny McGrain’s house alongside Sean Fallon to secure his signature.
He appeared in the Celtic Foundation Charity match, Henrik’s Heroes vs Lubo’s Legends, in 2017 – the day after Brendan Rodgers had delivered the invincible treble.
Sunday’s game was one of the most anticipated Glasgow Derbies in years, with both teams desperate to seal a statement win in the title race.
It wasn’t to be for either of them – and the draw, which was sealed by second-half goals by Kieran Tierney and Reo Hatate, undoubtedly suits Celtic more.
Especially given that in the 3PM kick-offs the day before, both Hearts and Motherwell aided their own title pushes with home wins to nil.

A 3,000-strong Celtic support were in full voice at the game, debuting a new chant for coach Mark Fotheringham, who has become something of a cult hero.
Calvin Miller was also in the away end, evidencing his lasting affinity for the club after rumours that the Falkirk winger came close to a return in January.
Next week, Celtic travel to Ibrox again, this time in the Scottish Cup. There, we will see a long-awaited return to the traditional full allocation in the Broomloan stand.
If the Celts are to secure a ticket to the newly-renamed Barclays Hampden for the semis, they’ll need to win at Ibrox for the first time in two-and-a-half years.
