Celtic have a big Scottish Cup fixture coming up this weekend but the headlines are still dominated by what went on at Hearts last Sunday.
Brendan Rodgers missed the chance to go top of the league as VAR intervention by John Beaton helped send off Hyunjun Yang and penalise Tomoki Iwata for an absurd handball.
The 2-0 loss means Celtic will need to wait till next week to see if they can go top of the league as they take on Livingston in the Scottish Cup on Sunday afternoon.
But the reverberations of Sunday’s Tynecastle events are still rumbling on as Alan Brazil shares how he really felt as he watched the Hearts VAR horror show unravel.
Brazil said [talkSPORT], “What about that sending-off and penalty? What a disgrace. Honestly, my mate said, ‘Have you seen it?’.
“I looked and I had to sit down. It’s not over yet.
“We’ve still got two Old F-rm games still to come so it’s going to be interesting but can they give them it on a plate or what?”
With nine games to go the chances to catch Rangers at the top diminish every passing week if we don’t take advantage of their slip-ups.
But as Brazil rightly points out, there are still two Glasgow Derby’s left and with our track record against Rangers under Rodgers, you would not bet against us winning both fixtures.
However, what we have seen this season from Celtic is that it’s not the Rangers games we need to be worried about.
Silly dropped points against the likes of St Johnstone, Hibs, Kilmarnock, Hearts and Motherwell have been our major undoing this season.
Once Rodgers cuts those types of results out then the title will remain at Celtic Park as long as we beat Rangers at least once.
