There have been a number of rumours surrounding Celtic players being unhappy at playing under Wilfried Nancy doing the rounds.

This site clamped those daft rumours after we pointed out how Celtic posted footage of Lennoxtown training that clamped supposed issues with Callum McGregor and the Hoops boss.

With two victories under his belt, it appears that Nancy has got Celtic winning again after a four-game losing streak had many believing that the Hoops boss has lost the players in the dressing room.

Of course, those rumours were a load of nonsense and here, Arne Engels has shared how he is feeling playing for Celtic in the Frenchman’s new system.

Arne Engels says Wilfried Nancy’s Celtic system is ‘actually good to play’

For all the rumours that Celtic players are unhappy with the new system under Nancy, Engels instantly dispels that with his verdict on the controversial topic.

Engels told STV News, “Obviously, it’s different, it’s really crowded in the middle.

“But we know that and everybody is trying to adapt to that new style. It’s actually good to play, but I’m used to playing with all the midfielders that are now there.

“I think we are improving in every game and that’s now also being rewarded with the three points.

“So, that’s a really good thing and we still need to keep on going because there’s also still a lot to improve.”

Arne Engels admits he’s in a ‘really happy place’ at Celtic

Engels struggled to get into the Celtic starting line-up under Brendan Rodgers earlier this season but here, the Belgian admits that he is flourishing under Nancy right now.

Engels continued, “I’m in a really happy place. I’m playing a lot and I’m feeling really confident.

“I had a difficult period maybe in the beginning of the season because I didn’t really play a lot.

“But I showed a lot of resistance and that shows now that I’m getting better and better and showing everybody the player I am. So it’s up to me to now keep this form and just move on.”

In 28 appearances for Celtic this season, Engels has scored two goals with one coming from the penalty spot in the Hoops’ win at Livingston.

With Motherwell and Rangers up next, Celtic fans will be hoping that Engels will bring that new-found confidence to both fixtures to help boost the Bhoys’ title bid as the gap to Hearts closes.
