A few big names have left Celtic in 2025.

It started with Kyogo Furuhashi leaving in January, and then during the 2025 summer transfer window, Nicolas Kuhn followed suit when he opted to make a switch to Serie A.

Kuhn joined Como in Italy, and linked up with legendary midfielder Cesc Fabregas, who handed the all-action winger his first start of the season on Monday night.

It was the small matter of Fabregas vs his former Arsenal teammate, Patrick Vieira, and there was drama right until the very end.

Nicolas Kuhn’s first start for Como after leaving Celtic

As the Celtic fans will remember, Kuhn lost his form towards the back end of last season, but he made a pretty positive start to life in Italy.

Highly-rated star Nico Paz netted a stunning goal from range early in the first half, and it was Kuhn who was involved in the build-up to that goal.

One great asset of the German’s game in Glasgow was darting into the box, as he ran nearly half the length of the pitch, only for his one-v-one effort to be saved later on in the match.

By the time Fabregas subbed off Kuhn, his team were winning, but then a sending off two minutes from time for the home side proved to be crucial because Vieira would be celebrating in the opposite dugout when Caleb Ekuban netted a 92nd-minute equaliser.

All in all, many great things Como did, Kuhn was involved, and he was handed a rating of 6.62 by WhoScored.

Now, it’s going to be interesting to see how his career pans out because, when he is on it, there is certainly a high-quality performer in there.
