Below, 67 Hail Hail has graded the 15 Celtic players who left the club in the 2025 summer transfer window.
It was a busy transfer window for Celtic as plenty arrived and plenty left.
We have already graded the 11 signings made by the Hoops this summer, and now it is time to grade those who headed for the exit door at Parkhead.
*All the players who were released in the summer have not been included.

Matthew Anderson – KV Kortrijk – 6/10
One of the many youngsters who left in the summer, Matthew Anderson headed to Belgium to sign for KV Kortrijk.
Anderson was a regular for the Celtic academy side but never made an appearance at senior level and the left-back has decided to try his luck in Belgium.
It’s been a great start for the 21-year-old as well, registering three assists in four league games already.
Daniel Cummings – West Ham United – 6/10
Daniel Cummings was given a handful of opportunities by Brendan Rodgers but decided to take the leap of faith down south.
Joining West Ham United is something former Celtic youth players have done in the past but Cummings’ path to the first team seems blocked after the addition of Callum Wilson this summer.
It’s early days, but this feels like a good deal for the Hoops early doors.
Greg Taylor – PAOK – 4/10
Greg Taylor was a fantastic servant but decided that it was time for a new adventure.
Months of speculation about his next adventure culminated in Taylor joining PAOK, where he has played in both league games so far.

While the full back wanted to try a new adventure, given Kieran Tierney’s struggles to complete a full 90 minutes, having someone of the quality and trust as Taylor would’ve allowed them to use their shiny new asset much more effectively.
Maik Nawrocki – Hannover 96 (loan) – 7/10
While Celtic fans are always impressed by Maik Nawrocki, Rodgers clearly isn’t a fan.
It isn’t fair on either to have the Polish defender around as he needs to play, and as a result, he was shipped out on loan to Hannover 96.
Nawrocki is yet to play a competitive game for them though, and the Celtic manager’s decision appears to have been vindicated.
Gustaf Lagerbielke – Braga – 8/10
Another one that needed to leave. Gustaf Lagerbielke was never in Celtic’s plans from the start and the Swedish centre-back ended up signing for Braga in Portugal.
Celtic will face Lagerbielke in the Europa League after the Hoops drew Braga, but this deal was a good one for everyone involved.
Nicolas Kuhn – Como – 3/10
Nicolas Kuhn wanted to leave Celtic, that much was clear. In the end, Kuhn joined Como and although the £16.5m received was a healthy profit on what they paid to sign him from Rapid Vienna, the German was never replaced.
Michel-Ange Balikwisha and Sebastian Tounekiti were late arrivals in the window, but are either going to score as many as Kuhn did in his final season?
Jude Bonnar – Ayr United (loan) – 9/10
A great decision to loan out Jude Bonnar to the Scottish Championship side to get him some first-team exposure.
Scott Brown is a fan of Bonnar and hopefully he can come back in a better position to challenge.
Kyle Ure – Partick Thistle (loan) – 9/10
Kyle Ure has huge potential and if managed right, can force his way into the Celtic first team sooner rather than later.
Ure has linked up with former Hoops star Mark Wilson at Partick Thistle and will get a good chance to play regular football.
Luis Palma – Lech Poznan (loan) – 8/10
Luis Palma needed a refresh and decided to head to Poland, signing for Lech Poznan on loan with a view to making it permanent.
Palma is already loved by Lech Poznan fans and it feels like he is beginning to enjoy his football again.

Adam Montgomery – Livingston (loan) – 5/10
On the plus side, Adam Montgomery gets game time, however, he really should be going on a permanent deal as he doesn’t appear to have a long-term future with the club.
Kwon Hyeok-kyu – Nantes – 9/10
Considering he never played a single minute, fetching any sort of fee for Kwon Hyeok-kyu can be deemed as a success.
Marco Tilio – 8/10
Never got going at Celtic and looked out of place whenever he did get a brief chance in the side.
Marco Tilio was widely expected to return to Australia but, after some complications, Tilio completed a permanent move to Rapid Vienna where he can move on from his Celtic nightmare.
Mitchel Frame – Aberdeen – 6/10
Before Marcelo Saracchi arrived, there were genuine concerns about selling another young prodigy to a divisional rival.
Mitchel Frame signed for Aberdeen on a four-year deal as he goes in search of first-team football.
It’s disappointing to lose a talent but maybe one day he will return.
Adam Idah – Swansea City – 3/10
Nobody would’ve guessed that Adam Idah would be heading for the exit door. That became apparent on deadline day when Idah signed for Swansea City in a £7m deal.
Letting the forward go before getting one, even two replacements in, was a huge decision and one that could leave the Hoops worse off.
Yes, the 24-year-old didn’t have the best start of the season, but he is capable of scoring big goals in big moments and that is very hard to replace.
Stephen Welsh – Motherwell (loan) – 5/10
Very similar story to Montgomery as Stephen Welsh signed on loan for Motherwell.
While it’s good that he is playing football elsewhere, a permanent transfer would’ve been more beneficial.
