Many Celtic fans will be glad that is over.
Did the Celtic fans and Brendan Rodgers get what they wanted from the 2025 summer transfer window? The answer is a simple no.
But at least, with the window slamming shut on Monday evening, it allows the champions of Scotland to focus on domestic matters and trying to maintain that dominance.
One thing that can’t be argued is how Celtic have run all over Rangers since the turn of the century, and even then, ludicrous claims are still being made involving those at Ibrox.

Hugh Keevins slams ‘wrong’ claim about Celtic and Rangers
You get a fair few daft suggestions on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, and the latest coming out of those radio studios is high up on the list.
With the Celtic fans annoyed with the board, including venting their anger and chants of ‘sack the board’, it was suggested that a reason behind that is they are ‘panicking’ because ‘Rangers have bought a lot of players.’
But Hugh Keevins rightfully shut all of that down by calling it ‘wrong’ and explained that the Celtic Park faithful are simply ‘concerned’ their team has declined ‘at an alarming rate.’
“The Celtic fans are panicking because Rangers have bought a lot of players,” claimed a caller on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard.
Keevins interrupted: “No, you are wrong! They aren’t panicking because Rangers have bought players. They are panicking because Celtic have declined in quality at such an alarming rate, and they are now scraping the bottom of the barrel to bring in anybody they can find.
“The transfer window passed without proper activity. They gambled on the Champions League. They failed. They gambled on last season’s Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen for a Treble, and they failed.
“So, the Celtic fans aren’t concerned about Rangers bringing in players. They are concerned about Celtic.”
Celtic fans are demanding action from the board
The issue with this summer is that it has been a one-way train when it comes to communication and long-term planning.
That’s from the manager. You hear from him, and nobody else from within the club or those sitting in the boardroom.
Celtic supporters, and various groups, including the Green Brigade, have come together demanding answers and change because it has been a failure of a window, despite Rodgers constantly expressing his dissatisfaction.
You won’t hear an end to this, as those Celtic groups and organisations include:
- Bhoys Celtic
- Celtic Trust
- Green Brigade
- North Curve Celtic
