Celtic wrapped up their fourth title in a row at Tannadice at the weekend.
The scenes that preceded Celtic battering Dundee United to win the league were superb as Callum McGregor partied with the Hoops fans alongside his teammates and manager, Brendan Rodgers.
The Parkhead boss has become Celtic’s most decorated manager of all time and is set to add even more winners medals to his name if he can steer the Hoops to a Scottish Cup win against Aberdeen next month.
With a narrative doing the rounds that Celtic’s success is ‘tedious’ a Dundee United legend who travelled to Tannadice to watch the title party said the achievements Rodgers is racking up is anything but.

Dundee United hero Jim McInally is loving Celtic’s success
Jim McInally was part of the Dundee United team that made the UEFA Cup final in 1987 against IFK Gothenburg after famously beating Barcelona in the semi-final.
McInally also won the Scottish Cup with the Tayside club in 1994 but here, he shares why he is loving Celtic’s domestic domination of Scottish football.
When asked if Celtic’s success is ‘tedious’, McInally told PLZ Soccer, “Never. I played a career where Celtic hardly won anything in my time, when I played for Dundee United, etc.
“And there’s an element the Celtic support that haven’t seen failure. So it might be tedious for them, but it’s certainly not tedious for me. I just love it.
“I mean, obviously me playing for United and being a Celtic supporter, sadly, most of my years were Rangers coming to win titles here, and especially nine in a row.
“So you don’t like it. It’s not nice. And, you know, so United do their upmost to make sure, that they stop it.”
Dundee United’s McInally’s Celtic connection
McInally began his career at Celtic and made his debut at the club in 1981 under Hoops legend, Billy McNeill.
However, that appearance was his one and only in the green and white Hoops and he left Parkhead for Dundee on loan the following season before joining Nottingham Forest permanently in 1984.
McInally returned to Scottish football in 1986 where he joined Dundee United and despite having two spells at the club, it’s clear his love for Celtic has never waned as he rocked up to Tannadice to watch his boyhood heroes clinch another title against his old club.
