Lennon Miller to Celtic is a transfer that many supporters know probably isn’t going to happen.
The young Motherwell midfielder has been wowing pundits and ex-players in the Scottish Premiership and Miller has been linked to Celtic on numerous occasions since November 2023.
Reports suggest that Celtic made a bid for Miller in January and the SPFL club knocked it back and since then, the chat has mostly been about pundits telling the Parkhead club that Miller would be a great signing for Celtic.
Well, it appears that those reports could well be accurate as Mark Guidi shares Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers’ stance on buying Motherwell starlet in January.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers ‘wanted’ Lennon Miller in January
The journalist was speaking about Miller and where he is likely to end up should he move on this summer and Guidi revealed that the ‘momentum was with Celtic’ to get a deal done in January.
Guidi told The Go Radio Football Show, “Well, I think the momentum was with Celtic in January to go and get the deal done, and it didn’t happen. I know that Brendan Rodgers wanted him. Brendan Rodgers wanted to sign Lennon Miller.
“I don’t think it’s going to happen now. I still think Brendan Rodgers would sign him, but I think the player, I think it’s been spoken about a few times now, and Lee Miller, Lennon’s dad, has said a few times his preference is to go abroad.
“And I would imagine Serie A is probably the most likely destination for it, and I think something could happen with that over the next week or so.
“So I think it’s at the stage now where it’s right for Motherwell to sell, and I think they’ll get round about four million for it.
“I don’t think they’ll get the six or something like that. They might eventually after five or six different add-ons, but in terms of guaranteed money, I think it will be round about four (million), which with the player only having a year to go on his contract, it’s still really good money. But the time’s right for Lennon Miller to move on.”
The likelihood of Celtic fans seeing Lennon Miller at Parkhead
In all honesty, if the deal hasn’t been done now after nearly two years of speculation, the likelihood is that Miller will not move to Celtic.
Whilst many supporters will never say never, this transfer story has a bit of the Mathias Kvistgaarden vibes about it.
Celtic were linked with the Dane for two years and after all the bluster and headlines, Kvistgaarden eventually wound up at Norwich City.
Whilst it would be brilliant to see Lennon Miller strut his stuff in the green and white Hoops, our view is that the young Motherwell man is unlikely to sign for Celtic.
