The Premier Sports Cup kicks off tonight for Celtic as the Parkhead club welcomes Falkirk.

John McGlynn’s Falkirk return to Celtic Park almost a year after they took part in a thrilling 5-2 win for Celtic last September.

As Brendan Rodgers prepares his side to kick off their defence of the cup at 7:45pm tonight, there are still plenty of tickets available for the Celtic vs Falkirk tie.

However, with Rangers hoping to put their trophyless season last year behind them, Go Radio pundit Richard Foster has delivered a Celtic prediction that makes grim reading for Ibrox boss Russell Martin.

Russell Martin told Celtic ‘will win’ the Premier Sports Cup, not Rangers

Former Rangers man Foster couldn’t even try to put a positive spin on the League Cup for his old club as he made this bold prediction about Celtic, which makes grim reading for Russell Martin.

Foster told The Go Radio Football Show, “I struggle to look past Celtic again this year. I think they’re still the strongest team. I think they’re only going to get stronger.

“And I get it. Cup ties, we’ve seen it last year with Aberdeen. You can have an off day, a lucky goal, then losing penalties.

“But I think Celtic are huge, huge favourites. I just don’t see anyone being able to stop them at the moment. I think the only team probably that can beat Celtic is going to be Rangers.

“But we don’t know which Rangers are going to turn up. But I just think Celtic are favourites to win it, and I think they will win it.”
