Ange Postecoglou will always be fondly remembered by the Celtic fans.
But, as of this moment, Tottenham fans might not say the same because Postecoglou is under pressure after a series of poor performances and results.
In terms of a pressure cooker, the heat in Celtic’s kitchen is far more difficult to deal with than the one at Tottenham’s because nothing but trophies is accepted.
Postecoglou moved to Parkhead after that disastrous Neil Lennon season and, despite making a slow start, picked the team up and produced goods like never before.
Yes, there is a bigger spotlight at Spurs because it’s the Premier League – dubbed the best in the world – but they haven’t won their league title since 1960, so there isn’t that expectation, added to the fact that they lost won a trophy in 2008.
But, with the London club sitting 15th in the Premier League, that is, without a doubt, far away from where their supporters want to be and it has resulted in Ange getting verbally battered.

Jamie Carragher on Ange Postecoglou’s injury ‘problems’ at Celtic and now Tottenham
Spurs were beaten 2-1 by Leicester City at the weekend – their fourth consecutive loss in the Premier League – to worry fans that they are in a possible relegation battle.
Postecoglou’s side are eight points from safety, with the manager having to deal with a mounting of injuries, with players dropping like flies left, right and centre.
Jamie Carragher told Sky Sports that Postecoglou had injury ‘problems’ at Parkhead and now it’s happening again at Tottenham.
The former Liverpool defender feels the Treble winner’s style of play and training methods is partly to play for that situation.
On injuries not being a good enough excuse for Tottenham because other teams are also coping with injuries: “I think they (other teams) are coping better,” stated Carragher.
“I think we should also say that a lot of the injuries comes from the way the manager plays. It’s a really high-intensity game. He had similar problems at Celtic.
“I go back to the situation they find themselves with their centre-backs. It almost feels like this whole team is built on the centre-backs, especially with van de Ven at the back. But to bring them back so quickly in that game against Chelsea, the two of them went off injured, that has to be down to the manager or the medical staff.
“It’s not just unlucky with injuries. That goes down to how you train and how your team play. It’s a bit of luck now and again. It’s not a real mitigating factor if you know you are going to get injured with the way a manager plays and he has a history of getting those injuries.”
Carragher tells Tottenham to stick by Postecoglou
Every Celtic fan will tell those disgruntled Tottenham supporters to remain patient and trust the process.
They have witnessed and experienced highs under Ange and it has been incredible, so with a fitter and deeper squad, they can go places with the Celtic hero.
Plus, as Carragher alluded to, he would keep Postecoglou on and he rightfully highlighted their upcoming League Cup semi-final clash against Liverpool and how they can also win the Europa League.
“I am in a situation where, who would you bring in?” asked Carragher. “You have to allow him to get his players back. They aren’t going to get relegated. Allow him to have the cup competitions.
“Who knows? The second half of the season, you get your two centre-backs back. Solanke back and you can have a decent run in that Europa League. I don’t think there is great strength in that Europa League.
“I don’t think they should be changing that anytime soon. Let him get his players back and let him get until the end of the season.”
