Jamie O’Hara is probably best known as one of Celtic’s biggest critics whenever it comes to the Champions League.

The talkSPORT presenter was running the rule over Celtic’s Champions League draw with Bayern Munich when a Rangers fan called the show to give his opinion on the result.

Bearing in mind Celtic almost pulled off a famous win against one of the biggest clubs in world football in Europe’s elite competition, O’Hara was in no mood to listen to anyone trying to detract from the Hoops’ brilliant performance in the Allianz Arena.

Jamie O’Hara reminds Rangers that they ‘can’t be asking for favours off Celtic’ in the Champions League

A Rangers fan called O’Hara’s show to cry about Scotland’s coefficient points despite forgetting Celtic qualified from the Champions League group stages and O’Hara wasted no time in putting him straight.

O’Hara said on talkSPORT, “The last thing they’re thinking about matey is coefficient points. They’re benefiting from it now because they’ve won the league and you haven’t.

“You can’t win the league. So you don’t play in the Champions League. You can’t qualify for it. Celtic have.

“You can’t be asking for favours off Celtic.”

The number of coefficient points Celtic have earned this season compared to Rangers

You have to admire Rangers fans banging this drum considering the state their club is in right now but the exchange did pique our interest.

Just how many coefficient points have Celtic earned in the Champions League compared to Rangers in the Europa League?

Scotland’s Coefficient on X shared the figures and it seems the Parkhead club are out in front.

Celtic have earned 3.4 points compared to Rangers’ 3.15. Whilst the Ibrox club have earned almost six points more over the last five years, it’s worth remembering that many of those points were earned in UEFA’s second-tier tournament with no points earned in the Champions League at all.
