The pressure is mounting on the Celtic board.
Yes, supporters wanted answers, but that Celtic statement over the weekend was more a PR disaster than one to build bridges or provide clarity on their transfer methods.
As expected, Celtic supporter groups across the globe have rightfully come together and reacted furiously to this all.
The issue was discussed on talkSPORT, including by Scottish presenter Jim White.

The feeling inside Celtic after the club statement
You will have to travel a long way to directly hear from somebody within the Celtic boardroom.
But White shared that the feeling from ‘within Celtic’ is that they think, since the turn of the century, the club has ‘stabilised financially.’
Simon Jordan then asked whether it was ‘unstable previously’, before White explained how successful Celtic have been since then.
White: “I know the way many of the ardent Celtic fans will want to go.
“But Simon (Jordan), there appears to be quite a toxic atmosphere around Celtic, at the moment, and among some of the most passionate of fans, who are saying, ‘no, no, that’s not good enough. It’s not good enough.’
“And on Friday, a whole bunch of the fans met with the board, which led to a statement from Celtic, which, to say the least of it, was wordy.
“Celtic would counter the feeling of the fans in a variety of ways. I think, within Celtic, there is a feeling within the club that, in the last 25 or so years, the club has been stabilised financially.”
Simon Jordan: “Why was it unstable previously?”
White: “It wasn’t the best previously. The club has won 40 or so trophies, right? Tens of millions have been spent on the squad in the last two or three years. Nonetheless, many of the fans say, ‘it’s not enough.’”
Celtic’s trophy haul since 2000
Nobody is denying Celtic’s success. This isn’t even an argument about wanting to spend more money or splashing the cash on a big player.
But the lack of direction, common sense and help for the manager. Rather than selling two strikers – Kyogo Furuhashi and Adam Idah – and the most adequate replacement is a free agent signed after the 2025 summer transfer window slams shut.
Despite this negative noise, you still expect Celtic to continue their domestic dominance because that doesn’t show signs of stopping.
