Callum McGregor reached double-figure goals for the season in Celtic colours on Sunday.
Celtic thrashed St Johnstone in the Scottish Cup semi-final and earned themselves a final showdown against Aberdeen.
For the opening half an hour, things were rather quiet, as St Johnstone held their own, despite threatening very little themselves.
But then, McGregor worked his magic feet on the edge of the box and guided the ball into the back of the net in tremendous fashion to open the scoring.
That got the ball rolling for Celtic, and from there on in, the opposition just couldn’t live with the Treble-chasers.
John Hartson wanted to give McGregor his flowers, including talking about the role he plays for Celtic.

John Hartson prefers Callum McGregor further up the pitch for Celtic
When McGregor first came through the ranks, he would dance his way past players as he played out wide and in more attacking roles.
But as he has become this mature figure within the team, things have changed, and he is running the show from deep.
However, Hartson told Sportscene that ‘I like’ McGregor playing further up the pitch.
“Someone like McGregor, I like him there,” said Hartson. “I like him further up the pitch, because he is such a threat going forward for Celtic.
“Sometimes, I think he sits as a number six in the Celtic team, but when you can get McGregor in them type of positions, he can be deadly for you.”
McGregor’s stats for Celtic this season
Hopefully, before the season is out, there are plenty more goals to come, including the trip to Ibrox and the final itself.
When you look back at the last three seasons combined, McGregor has 11 goals to his name, yet he needs one more to equal that for this campaign alone.
Perhaps allowing the skipper to play further up will bring out more goals in him because he also has a habit of scoring important ones.
