A lot of the talk from the fans and the media in recent days has been around Celtic’s Scottish Cup quarter-final clash against Rangers at Ibrox.
The game is still less than a month away, during the weekend of March 7, but there are discussions as to whether Celtic will get their full allocation for their Ibrox trip. It should be 20%, around 10,000 fans.
It seems as though it’s not just supporters and the media discussing this topic, but also the players.
Julian Araujo joined Celtic in January, and he shared what was said at Lennoxtown around the Scottish Cup fixture, in particular.
Do you reckon these reduced allocations have taken the edge off the Glasgow derby?

Julian Araujo on Celtic fans at Ibrox for the Scottish Cup clash against Rangers
Araujo has already had a taste of the Glasgow derby at Parkhead, after arriving in January, but never at Ibrox.
Next month, Celtic’s new right-back will experience two Ibrox clashes, starting in the Premiership, and then that quarter-final tie.
But as soon as Celtic were pitted against Rangers in the Scottish Cup, it seems as though talk at Lennoxtown was around how that game will produce ‘one of the best atmospheres’ because, at least, ‘8,000’ away fans will be present.
“Coming into the training ground today, they spoke about the Scottish Cup draw, playing at Ibrox,” said Araujo.
“I think we have a capacity of 8,000. They said it’s going to be one of the best atmospheres, so I am excited for it all.”
Araujo on ‘competition’ within Celtic squad
From the Europa League to the Premiership. Celtic’s schedule from now until the international break at the end of March is relentless.
Martin O’Neill is going to dig deep into his squad depth, as Araujo explained that ‘it’s all a competition now’ inside the dressing room because ‘everybody wants to play.’
“I can’t get too far ahead, but you just have to take it game by game,” added Araujo. “I am excited. This team has a lot of confidence. We have a lot of quality. We have players who want to play.
“We brought in new players. It’s all a competition now. I think everybody is fighting for their spot now. Everybody wants to play now. We have a good group of guys, and we are going to need every single one of us to be ready. Any time, and any moment, he can be called upon, and he has to be ready.”
