Nicolas Kuhn has been enjoying a stunning start to his second season at Celtic under Brendan Rodgers.

Now, with a full pre-season under Kuhn’s belt, the Celtic winger is flying and is now on the cusp of an international call-up for Germany.

67 Hail Hail discussed recently how a German football expert said that Kuhn was close to a national call and now, Julian Nagelsmann has dropped the biggest hint yet where the Celtic man is in his thoughts for future squads.

Nagelsmann told the Football Scotland, “We are focusing on all German players. Malick has been with the national team before but has been out for quite some time recently.

“I think both he and Bisseck are great players who still need to improve on some things. Kühn is also a good player with a lot of desire. He’s someone we’re keeping an eye on. But calling up a new player always means excluding another.”

What has been said in the German media about Celtic hero Nicolas Kuhn

Kuhn’s performances for Celtic this season have now caught the eye of the German media this season.

After Celtic beat RB Leipzig in the Champions League media outlet Sportschau labelled Kuhn as ‘outstanding’.

RAN said Kuhn put on a ‘gala’ for Celtic against the German club after the Champions League win two weeks ago.

And after Celtic beat Kilmarnock just before the international break, Kicker called the winger ‘unstoppable’.

There is no doubt now that the German media know the name of Kuhn and now that he is on Nagelsmann’s radar, it could be just a matter of time before he gets that long-awaited call.
