Kasper Dolberg hit the Celtic headlines in the summer.
With Celtic fans getting exhausted, frustrated and angry at how the 2025 summer transfer window was panning out, including getting knocked out of the Champions League, Dolberg’s name started emerging towards the back end of August.
At the time, it got the Celtic Park faithful pretty excited, with the versatile forward going strong in the colours of Anderlecht for several years, including scoring goals in Europe.
But in the end, Dolberg secured a transfer to Ajax, a place where he first made a name for himself as a fresh-faced teenager, so how has he fared on his return to Amsterdam?

How is Kasper Dolberg faring at Ajax after Celtic transfer links?
Dolberg has had injury issues in recent times, and his time at Ajax hasn’t started like he would have wanted because he is currently on the sidelines.
The 28-year-old has only played two matches, including 26 minutes against Inter in the Champions League, and he is yet to find the back of the net.
There is still a long way to go, but if this continues, then Celtic can count their lucky stars right now, especially with the positive impact Kelechi Iheanacho has made.

Blessing in disguise with Kelechi Iheanacho?
It’s going to be interesting to see how many goals Iheanacho scores for Celtic compared to Dolberg and who has the bigger impact.
So far, with Daizen Maeda struggling and no other senior player able to play that centre-forward role, Iheanacho has proven to be a sigh of relief because things would be far worse without him.
Of course, there is still a long way to go, but this Iheanacho signing is proving to be a blessing in disguise, as of this moment.
