The season is drawing to a close, and once again, it’s Celtic walking away with the major honours in Scotland.
After winning the League Cup in December and recently securing the Premiership title, Celtic and Brendan Rodgers now want the Treble.
Rodgers has been here before and gobbled up all the trophies, as did the man he replaced in the Celtic Park dugout during the summer of 2023 – Ange Postecoglou.
For two decades now, it has been utter dominance from Scotland’s most successful club, and there are no signs of it stopping.
Whether it’s Ronny Deila in the dugout or Postecoglou, many things have been done to a tee by the club, including the recruitment.
Under Postecoglou, the Celtic hero used his expertise of the Japan market and brought in some incredible talent form the J-League, and some of those players are still making their mark today.

Kris Boyd says Daizen Maeda proves why ‘Celtic are levels above’
One of the players who takes you off your seat on a weekly basis is Daizen Maeda, and nobody seems to be stopping him.
Ever since Kyogo Furuhashi left in January, his Japan teammate has taken his game to another level and is a reason why Celtic could win the Treble this term.
Kris Boyd lauded Maeda, how he is a ‘manager’s dream’, and how he epitomises why Celtic are ‘levels above’ everybody else, as he told Sky Sports Football (04/05/25).
“I think, for Maeda as well, he is a manager’s dream,” said Boyd. “Even if he has had a bad game. You know, in terms of work rate, you are getting a ten out of ten. That is key.
“You see some of the European games as well. He stretches the game and will go after teams. Sets the tempo. It will be the exact same in training. That’s why Celtic are levels above. Everything single thing they do, they do it properly, and he epitomises that.”
Maeda wins Scotland’s PFA Player of the Year
Stand up for the best player in Scotland. It’s deserved, and nobody can argue.
There came a point this season when Nicolas Kuhn was probably front of that queue, but Maeda has taken it to another level in 2025.
With 33 goals in all competitions and 12 assists – and with more games to play – Maeda was rightfully named Player of the Year by his peers.
