Transfer deadline is over and Celtic have added three new players to their squad after a flurry of late activity.
Martin O’Neill was delighted to capture Celtic trio Joel Mvuka, Junior Adamu and Benjamin Arthur as the Hoops boss added much-needed reinforcements to his squad.
With the title race between Celtic, Hearts and Rangers entering the closing stages of the season, O’Neill needed the extra firepower that Mvuka and Adamu can hopefully bring.
Could Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have an impact like Scott Sinclair did at Celtic?
However, it appears that Celtic may not be finished adding to the squad after a late night update suggested that the Bhoys wanted former Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
And that’s a move that has former Rangers striker Kris Boyd looking anxiously at Celtic if they can get a deal for the former England international over the line.

Kris Boyd is weirdly ‘baffled’ at Celtic’s decision to keep Arne Engels
First off, Boyd couldn’t resist having a pop at Celtic for rejecting the £25m bid for Arne Engels from Nottingham Forest.
Boyd said on Sky Sports News, “I think it was interesting what was said there, Mikel Arteta might want to keep him at Arsenal. I hope he does.
“He is obviously getting older but you don’t lose that ability that Oxlade-Chamberlain had. If Celtic complete that deal, the Arne Engels one is even more baffling.
“If you have got someone who was about to come in on a free transfer, and Nottingham Forest want to pay you £25million for Arne Engels I can’t believe you wouldn’t have taken it. It’s crazy.”
Most people would call that the Celtic board backing O’Neill to push for the title, but not Boyd. Strange that.
Worried Kris Boyd hopes Celtic don’t sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
However, when news broke that Celtic are looking to sign free agent Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, that announcement really made Boyd sweat.
Boyd continued, “But, there is no doubt that Oxlade-Chamberlain would be a success in Scotland. He is someone who has done it, more or less, wherever he has went.
“Yes, he has had his injury problems but I think the older you get, the more you look after your body.
“I can’t say I done that myself, but I imagine someone of that level would.
“I think he would be a success at Celtic, but hopefully he stays where he is right now, training, and Mikel Arteta can get that deal over the line.”
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s glittering career makes him perfect for Celtic
Oxlade-Chamberlain left Besiktas this season and is now actively looking for a club. At 32, the former England international has vast experience that could help Celtic’s title push.
A former Champions League and Premier League winner, Oxlade-Chamberlain also has a FIFA World Club Cup, a European Super Cup, four FA Cups, an English League Cup, four Community Shields and a Turkish Cup to his name.
No wonder Boyd is worried.
