Celtic trio Kyogo Furuhashi, Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate have all been given superb recognition for their form this season.

The Japanese trio have been crucial to Celtic’s success in the Champions League and for their unbeaten start to the Scottish domestic season.

Daizen Maeda has been electric as his constant energy, pace and pressing have caused no end of problems for Celtic’s opposition.

Reo Hatate has been pulling the strings in the Hoops midfield as helped Celtic put Rangers to the sword in the Scottish Premiership as well as beating Slovan Bratislava and RB Leipzig and earning an excellent draw in Atalanta in the Champions League.

Kyogo Furhashi remains a constant pest to Celtic’s opponents and whilst his goalscoring form is not as prolific as it has been, the Japanese striker is a constant danger to any defence with his pace and sharpness up front.

And now, after an announcement by the J League, the Celtic trio have received class recognition for their brilliant Hoops form this season.

Celtic’s Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Kyogo get Japan call

Hajime Moriyasu has received some criticism in the past for his exclusion of Kyogo from the Japan national team but now, the Samurai Blue’s boss seems to have come to his senses.

Now, to be fair to Moriyasu he did throw down the gauntlet to the Celtic trio just over a month ago as he did say that players will be judged on a Japan call-up depending on how they performed in the Champions League.

And how the three of them all combined to help fashion Nicolas Kuhn’s second goal against RB Leipzig was just sublime:

After helping to guide Celtic into 15th place in the Champions League standings, all three have now been given the nod to represent Japan in upcoming fixtures against Indonesia and China this month.

Hopefully, this is the first of many call-ups in the future for the three Celtic players but fans will have their fingers crossed that neither suffer any injury hiccups like they have in the past after representing Japan.
