The morning after the big Champions League win over RB Leipzig, the Celtic fans will still be over the moon at the result.

Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic staring lineup created a stir after the Hoops boss left out Alex Valle in favour of birthday boy, Greg Taylor.

After surviving an early first-half scare, Celtic’s players were superb against RB Leipzig as they battled back to earn a 3-1 win.

A superb double from Nicolas Kuhn wowed the fans as the former Leipzig player and now Celtic hero reminded the Bundesliga club exactly what they missed out on after allowing him to leave in 2018.

Reo Hatate sealed the win as the Japanese midfielder topped off a superb performance to ensure all three points stayed in Glasgow.

So in a hectic night and with loads going on, here are three things 67 Hail Hail spotted that Celtic fans may have missed as the full-time whistle sounded on a memorable Champions League night at Celtic Park.

Reo Hatate collapses and Nicolas Kuhn celebrated as Celtic batter RB Leipzig in Champions League

The sheer effort of coming from behind to beat Leipzig took its toll on Celtic hero Reo Hatate. The Japanese midfielder was superb as he controlled the midfield and added the Hoops’ third goal to seal the win.

And when the final whistle went at Celtic Park, Hatate did this:

However, on the opposite end of the scale, Nicolas Kuhn was lauded as the Celtic winger’s double helped spark a fightback and the German winger was the toast of the players and fans:

Kuhn continues to impress this season and after adding his ninth goal of the season last night, Celtic’s domestic and European opposition will be fearing him this season.

RB Leipzig players shattered after Celtic teach them a Champions League lesson

As the Celtic fans and players celebrated, RB Leipzig’s stars were left absolutely gutted at the result.

The Bundesliga side were unbeaten in their last 19 domestic league games so confidence would have been high about coming to Celtic Park to record their first Champions League win.

They must have been hopeful after taking the lead in the first half, but Celtic never gave up despite a slight wobble just after conceding.

However, as the reality of their 3-1 defeat sunk in, the RB Leipzig players were left like this:

As RB Leipzig’s Champions League campaign looks all but over, their players and fans were left shattered after Celtic dealt a serious lesson to a team that is challenging Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title.

Leipzig is now one of just six teams without a point in the competition. It’s little wonder they are downbeat.

For Celtic now, Club Brugge awaits at the end of November and if Brendan Rodgers can mastermind another Celtic Park win, a play-off place is all but guaranteed for the Parkhead club.
