Kyogo has had a difficult time of it in France with Rennes this season.
The former Celtic striker has been forced to bide his time at his new club after leaving Parkhead and he has only managed three appearances with a combined total of 92 minutes on the pitch.
Kyogo “lost the trust” of manager Habib Beye after the boss who brought him in for £10million, Jorge Sampaoli, was sacked just a few short days after the deal was struck.
It is safe to say, then, that the Japanese hitman has had a rough start to life in Ligue 1. Journalists have speculated that Kyogo could leave sooner rather than later with his future under Beye up in the air.

Celtic hero Kyogo was not selected to start for Rennes vs PSG
And that was clear last night when he suffered the indignity of continuing on the bench despite Beye opting to change his striker options against PSG at home.
In what was one of the biggest fixtures of the season on Rennes’ calendar against the French giants, it was a young and inexperienced kid who was given the nod to start up top for the club.
The manager opted to play 17-year-old Mohamed Meite on his own as the lone striker against Luis Enrique’s heavyweights as opposed to giving Kyogo, 30, the opportunity to prove what he can do.
Why Kyogo has expressed ‘disappointment’ at Rennes
It was Meite’s first ever start for the club and added to his four outings from the entire season at this moment.
PSG won the game 4-1 as Kyogo came off the bench for nine whole minutes.
That must have felt like a slap in the face to Kyogo who is a proven goal scorer in Glasgow with 85 strikes and 19 assists in his 165 appearances for the Hoops.
It comes after Kyogo himself had expressed disappointment at the decision from his club to axe Sampaoli after he arrived. That must have been tough for the attacker who was convinced to join under the Argentine who may have had a different style and philosophy than Beye’s.
