Major Nicolas Kuhn Celtic contract update as Hoops look to tie down star man

It was not Nicolas Kuhn’s best performance of the season for Celtic yesterday, that’s for sure.

But the Hoops still want to sign Kuhn to a new contract.

The German was among the underperforming stars for the club against Rangers at Ibrox as the runaway league leaders inexplicably fell to a 3-0 defeat to their rivals.

Still, Kuhn‘s record this term must be respected.

The wide player has replaced Matt O’Riley‘s numbers with an impressive 14 goals and 11 assists in all competitions for Celts.

Julian Nagelsmann has interest in the player for the international set-up and that is a testament to his hard work and significant improvement.

And now 67 Hail Hail can reveal that Kuhn’s representative, Fabian Dingler, was in place at Ibrox to watch his client in action.

That bodes well for Celtic and Brendan Rodgers who will likely – alongside Michael Nicholson – want to sit down with his agent who works for CN Sports GMBH, run by former Rangers player Christian Nerlinger.

Nicolas Kuhn’s agent has arrived in Glasgow amid new contract talk

The fact that Kuhn’s agent was in attendance could be coincidence having already taken in other fixtures this campaign including the 3-1 win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League back in early November.

His client bagged a brace that evening.

However the club will be hopeful of tying him down to stronger financial terms in a bid to convince him to stick around.

They are already in a good position with Kuhn who is dealt in until 2029.

Kuhn has been Celtic’s standout star whose stats speak for themselves

The playmaker has already begun receiving transfer interest from multiple clubs around Europe.

Kuhn is one of the top providers at Celtic and has been described as the best player in Scotland this season.

And while Dingler is in Glasgow, it is his other rep, Nerlinger, who has already spoken about his client’s time at Celtic so far.

Despite January interest in the player, the negotiator confirmed Kuhn would be going nowhere.
