Plenty of names have been linked with the Celtic job, but Mark Guidi thinks there is one candidate who will be looking elsewhere.

A host of managers have been considered ever since Brendan Rodgers resigned, with Celtic fans seemingly wanting Kjetil Knutsen.

67 Hail Hail understands that Knutsen is interested in the job, as is Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna.

Other shouts such as Craig Bellamy and Robbie Keane have also been included, but one other name is unlikely to become the new boss.

Mark Guidi thinks Nicky Hayen will have eyes on other jobs

One of the more surprising names doing the rounds is Club Brugge manager Nicky Hayen.

The Belgian Pro League side have been one of the most exciting sides to watch in Europe in the last few years, and that is all thanks to the work of their manager.

Hayen has remained coy when asked about the Celtic job in the past, but Guidi thinks that a Premier League or La Liga job is more likely than the 45-year-old coming to Glasgow.

Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show, he said: “I think Nicky Hayen is probably their thoughts at Brugge.

“But I’m kind of thinking with him, he’s got such a really good CV and then you look at the result the other night, he might be, with the greatest respect, better than Scottish football now.

“I think he’s looking at England or La Liga or something for his next job. I think he’s gone beyond that.”

Nicky Hayen to take charge of Brugge league game

As speculation outside of Brugge continues to grow around Hayen’s future, it is business as usual for the 45-year-old.

Club Brugge face Anderlecht away from home on Sunday 9 November as they try to move level on points with league leaders Union Saint Gilloise.

They also sit seven points clear of their opponents and three points would create a large gap to make up.
