The Wilfried Nancy to Celtic rumours continue as the speculation over his Parkhead appointments still rumbles on.
Celtic announced midweek that Martin O’Neill will continue on in an interim capacity as the search for a new manager continues this week.
It was a statement that confused supporters, but it seems that an interview being aired from Columbus Crew general manager Issa Tall may shed some light on the delay of bringing Nancy to Celtic.
Despite that, journalist Michael Gannon believes that talks are coming along nicely as he shares the four key members of his backroom team Nancy wants to take from Columbus Crew to Celtic.

Wilfried Nancy from Columbus Crew to Celtic ‘very close’
At the moment, Celtic have made some backroom reshuffles as Martin O’Neill guides the club through the managerial transition.
And it appears that if Nancy gets his way with Celtic, there will be a big behind-the-scenes upheaval.
Poll: Do you want Wilfried Nancy to become the new Celtic manager?
Gannon told Record Celtic, “At the moment, it seems to be that it’s progressing well. I know that they held talks, Saturday, Friday night, the talks by all accounts were very positive from both sides.
“Very, very close, if not just a bit there and as far as I’m aware, Celtic are also currently in negotiations with Columbus Crew over compensation, which can take a bit of time.”
Gannon names four backroom staff Nancy wants to take to Celtic including ‘fitness guru’
With managers like Ange Postecoglou, Neil Lennon and Ronny Deila having a backroom team foisted upon them, it seems that Nancy will not be having any of that.
Gannon continued, “I think it is not just going to be the head coach or manager as well. I think he’s bringing, or he’s hoping to bring, a whack of his staff as well.
“His number two, Kwame Ampudu. His number three, Joan Damet. There’s an analyst called Max Chalier, I think it is, and a fitness guru called Jules Gueguen.
“But he’s involved in this as well. There’s a few guys involved in this process as well.
“There’s a lot of moving parts, a lot going on, but as far as I’m concerned, it’s progressing. And I still expect it to go through”
With so many conflicting reports appearing about Nancy right now, it’s difficult to know what’s really going on.
No doubt, as the week progresses and the AGM starts to unfold, Celtic fans will, hopefully, have a clearer picture of what is going on.
