Not many Celtic fans would tip the Parkhead club to go and win the Europa League.
Many do believe that there is a good chance for Celtic to go on and progress into the latter stages of the competition.
The Europa League has pitched Celtic up against the likes of Sturm Graz, Feyenoord and last night’s opponents Red Star Belgrade.
All teams that Celtic are capable of getting a result against. However, European giants like Roma, Lyon and Porto are all in the competition.
But that hasn’t stopped Premier Sports’ Aisling O’Reilly from tipping Celtic to win the Europa League and it seems Neil Lennon agrees that his old club have a chance.

Neil Lennon tips Aston Villa after hearing Celtic could win the Europa League
Lennon tipped Aston Villa to win the Europa League but didn’t completely write off Celtic’s chances.
O’Reilly said on Premier Sports, “I think so, [it’s exciting for Celtic], and they were competitive as well. Yeah, I’ve gone for them. Let’s look, then here, prediction wise.
“So yes, I’ve gone with Celtic, Kenny, Roma and Neil, Aston Villa. I think with the new signings, hopefully they can gel and do well.
“And I think on last year having that experience in the Champions League, you never know. Come January, get another few signings in, I think they can do well.”
Lennon replied, “I think they’ve got a decent draw. I think if they get to the knockout phase then you never know what might happen.
“I’ve just gone for Villa because they haven’t started well, obviously, but they’ve got a manager who’s won this multiple times.
“And I think class is permanent, form is temporary and I think he’ll get them going eventually. And I looked at the Europa League last year with the two Premier League teams, United and Spurs who got into the final in the end.
“I think Villa will definitely progress along in the tournament.”
Celtic’s current Europa League standing and next two fixtures
After Celtic’s draw against Red Star, Brendan Rodgers’ side currently sit 9th with another round of fixtures to go tonight.
Up next for Celtic is SC Braga and then Sturm Graz at Parkhead which gives Rodgers a great opportunity to collect another six points.
If Celtic can do that it will give the Hoops boss the perfect opportunity to get out of the league phase and, as Lennon says, anything can happen after that.
