Chris Sutton has blasted back at the naysayers who think Celtic winning titles is now routine.
The Hoops wrapped up their fourth consecutive Scottish Premiership crown last weekend against Dundee United after a thrashing 5-0 victory at Tannadice.
Celtic sealed the league with four games to go as Rangers failed to deliver a serious challenge at the top of the table, meaning the Bhoys took home a 13th Premiership title in 14 years.
The Bhoys are utterly dominant domestically, and it lead to a Daily Mail article claiming Celtic’s push for a Treble this season is the most “tedious of all time.”

Sutton insists winning titles at Celtic is not ‘routine’
Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler dismissed that entirely, and now Sutton has offered his own emphatic retort by saying winning titles at Celtic is NOT routine.
Writing in his weekly Daily Record column, Sutton said: “I can’t help but think it’s just as well there was the enthralling challenge of Europe’s highest level this season for (Brendan) Rodgers because, domestically, it can’t be overly easy to get driven.
“Now, before anyone starts on me, no manager will get tired of winning trophies. If it’s anything like it felt for me as a player, it’s an incredible high.
“But where Celtic are at just now is just not normal. When the Celtic team I played in won a Treble in 2001, it was seen as an astonishing feat.
“It was just the third time in 113 years. Now Celtic are one game away from winning six more in nine seasons.
“Rodgers and captain Callum McGregor have spoken about how Celtic have normalised this scenario and it’s brilliant for them.
“However, I don’t care how good it is, there is surely only so often you can keep doing the same things before it loses some of its lustre.
“Celtic winning a title is seen as routine now. That’s ridiculous. It’s not and never should be routine.
“My old club is now being measured on Trebles and, as McGregor said himself last week, not winning this one would feel like a failure.
“Rodgers is a man who clearly loves a challenge. I’d assume that’s why he was prepared to take the flak he was going to get by going back because he had the drive to win more trophies and try and make his club relevant on the European scene again.
“That hunger is only going to be heightened in the summer and the manager will be chomping at the bit to get back in there and win more games at the elite level.”
Celtic’s incredible dominance will continue
There’s no sign of Rangers offering a sustained challenge to Celtic at the summit of the Premiership after yet another dismal campaign for them.
That’s despite winning the last two Glasgow derby meetings in the league – but they haven’t been able to kill off the teams that are expected to conquer, particularly at Ibrox.
They have the US consortium takeover of the club to come, as well as a new manager, but it will take more than a season or two to reach the heights of Celtic at this current time.
It means the Hoops are on track to continue their stupendous dominance in Scotland. 13 of the last 14 Premiership titles have gone back to Celtic Park.
While Rangers have won just three major domestic honours since 2021. In fact, it’s three domestic trophies since 2011 given they tumbled down the divisions a year later.
