Nicolas Kuhn is, I think, a player that splits the opinion of the Celtic fans.
The German winger shows so much promise with his blistering pace but when he gets into the final third he seems to lose confidence and play the ball backwards.
It’s hugely frustrating especially when you see him beat players with ease at other times during the course of the season.
I suppose it could just be put down to simply Kuhn trying to find his way at Celtic and settling into a new club but now that the season is over, the former Rapid Vienna man knows that he must produce next season.
Kuhn has ‘reached the top’ at Celtic
Finding form late into the season, Kuhn did put in decent performances against Rangers to help lift a league and cup double after the draw at Ibrox and the Scottish Cup win at Hampden.
And now that he has two winners medals to his name, the 24-year-old explains why his critics can no longer have a go at him.
Kuhn said [Daily Record], “When Celtic asked me to move, I did everything I could to make this move happen.
“It was my chance to win the championship and prove myself at a huge club. I wear the No.10 shirt at the club. That is also a statement from me – and of course, there is a lot of pressure on me.
“Next year I will play in the Champions League for the first time, that was always the goal. Now no one can say that I am lacking something.
“It may have taken me a little longer, but I have reached the top level.”
Kuhn certainly has reached the top with a move to a massive club like Celtic but what he has to do now is deliver on a more consistent basis.

The reason wingers like Jota, James Forrest and Daizen Maeda are (and were) so successful is that they put in consistent performances to win medals.
With a full pre-season under his belt with Brendan Rodgers, Kuhn has the potential to become a very good attacking option at Celtic.
Let’s hope he delivers next season because if Rodgers wants to improve Celtic’s fortunes in Europe, players like Kuhn will need to produce the goods on a more consistent basis.
