Celtic complete the secong leg of their US Tour with an impressive 4-3 win over Man City in Chapel Hill in the early hours of this morning.
A double from Nicolas Kuhn and goals from Kyogo Furuhashi and Luis Palma were enough to get past a Man City side that was composed mainly of young talent like Oscar Bobb but still had Erling Haaland leading the line.
Celtic are starting to look sharper and fitter for the new season ahead now that they have their fifth pre-season game against City (including the closed-doors Brentford fixture) under their belts.
But it was the performance of Nicolas Kuhn that left the Celtic fans in awe as he put Pep Guardiola’s side to the sword in North Carolina.
Celtic fans blown away by ‘phenomenal’ Kuhn
The German winger was electric as he gave the Man City defenders a torrid time and it had the Celtic fans feeling excited at seeing him in the new season ahead.
One fan was blown away with his assist for Kyogo’s goal, “Is there anything more beautiful in this game than an outside of the foot pass?” whilst another added, “Kuhn with possibly the greatest assist I have ever seen. I am moved. I am so moved.“
Another fan joked:
Whilst another Celtic fan said, “Well who saw that 1st half coming? Celts full of free flowing running with crisp passing and tenacious in the tackle. Matt has been involved in making all 3 goals and Kuhn looks a completely different player to last season. Schmeichel has been solid with great saves.“
Whilst former 67 Hail Hail writer, Hamish Carton, also joked:
It genuinely was a superb performance from Kuhn and one that shows the Celtic fans exactly why Brendan Rodgers shelled out £3m for him in January.

Next up for Rodgers and the Bhoys on the US Tour is a trip to Indiana where Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea await.
If Kuhn and the rest of the team put in another performance of that quality then the fans will be delighted with this summer’s preparations for the new Scottish Premiership season which kicks off in less than two weeks time.
