Nottingham Forest have ended rumours linking Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers to their managerial role.
The Celtic boss was linked to the position after Nottingham Forest sacked Ange Postecoglou after just 39 days in charge.
The rumours were so strong that Celtic hero Chris Sutton addressed them and said that he fully expected Rodgers to stay at Parkhead until the end of the season.
And now, after Forest appointed Sean Dyche as their new head coach, the rumours of Rodgers’ potential Celtic exit have been firmly put to bed.

Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic exit rumour quashed as Nottingham Forest hire Sean Dyche
Forest have hired Sean Dyche this morning in a move that quashes any further rumours of Rodgers making an early Celtic exit.
Sky Sports reports that Dyche will lead Forest until the summer of 2027 as he takes over from the departed Ange Postecoglou.
With Celtic heading into the biggest two games of the season this week, fans will be delighted that any further distractions have been removed as the fixtures against Sturm Graz and Hearts near.
Celtic’s next five fixtures
With Sturm Graz and Hearts to come this week, Rodgers faces his biggest challenge of the season at Celtic so far.
However, those are not the only difficult games coming his way. After the fixtures this week, Celtic face another three tricky ties that will continue to test a team that appears to be low in confidence.
- Wednesday 29th October: Premiership: Celtic vs Falkirk
- Thursday 6th November: UEFA Europa League: FC Midtjylland vs Celtic
- Sunday 9th November: Premiership: Celtic vs Kilmarnock
Falkirk and Kilmarnock are full of confidence as the Rugby Park side sit in fourth and The Bairns in eighth place respectively in the Scottish Premiership table.
And as Celtic supporters know, FC Midtjylland are flying in the Europa League after wins over Strum Graz and former Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou’s Nottingham Forest at their home ground.
