Celtic only had one player earn a spot in the BBC Sportscene team of the week, but it wasn’t Julian Araujo.
Araujo has done more than enough to earn a permanent deal and our TalkingPoints users on 67 Hail Hail unanimously voted him as the player of the match.
The full-back has proved many people wrong since joining on loan from Bournemouth, but not enough to earn a spot in the best XI after Celtic’s win against Falkirk.
Someone did do enough, though, and they were named by Johnny Sutherland in the Scottish Premiership team of the week.
Kieran Tierney has been one of Celtic’s best players this season…
Agree or disagree?
Kieran Tierney named in BBC team of the week
Both full-backs were excellent against Falkirk, and Kieran Tierney deservedly earned his flowers.
He provided the assist that led to Tomas Cvancara’s first goal for the Hoops and didn’t put a foot wrong defensively.
Tierney has got better and better each week and was rewarded for his efforts by BBC Sportscene.
No other Celtic players featured in the team while transfer target Tawanda Maswanhise earned a spot following his brace against Livingston.
Kieran Tierney is back to his best
The homegrown fan is finally back to his best, even if it has been a frustrating road.
Brendan Rodgers would regularly rotate him and refuse to play him the full 90 minutes after years of injury setbacks at Arsenal.
Is Kieran Tierney back to his best at Celtic?
Supporters recognised that he wasn’t anywhere near the standards required, and at one point, it looked like Marcelo Saracchi would be the starter.
You only have to applaud him for the recovery and hope that he gets even better.
