The agreed minutes from Celtic’s meeting with the Celtic Fan Collective have been released.
In the latest update in what is turning into a saga, a ten-page long transcript from the meeting has been made public to the Celtic support.
Subjects covered in the meeting include player transfers, board accountability, fan communication and the results of the Fairhurst enquiry.
Understandably, Hoops fans have been having their say about the minutes. Other than the AGM, this is the only real opportunity for supporters to directly question the club’s higher management.
One Celtic hero has had his say on the meeting, and the one thing which should’ve been made much clearer at it.
Peter Grant on Celtic’s fan meeting
The club’s transfer business has been under the microscope all year, and it was the subject of a controversial Celtic statement last month.
Failure to secure crucial targets in time for the Hoops’ Champions League qualifier against Kairat Almaty was the straw that broke the camel’s back for many supporters’ patience.

And for ex-Hoops midfielder Peter Grant, speaking on the Go Radio Football Show, one thing in particular should not have been so vague.
He said: “I think the difficulty is, when you go to something and you want answers – and when you’re getting asked things, I don’t think there were any questions asked that you can’t answer.
“I think that’s the frustration with the supporters, that I read online like everyone else. You’ve seen the report. I know there’s certain things Celtic can’t answer, about the way they go about their business, how things fell down. How players they were in for… whatever.
“I think that should be much more clear, and I think that’s the frustration. Because everybody spoke about it. We probably spoke about it from January, March, right through.
“So all supporters have been talking about is how strong we were against Bayern Munich, we know we’re going to lose certain players, maybe three players are going to go.
“So on top of that we need players to replace them, but you also need another four to make the squad stronger. I think that’s been the biggest frustration. You can sense it.”
What now for Celtic fans’ dispute with the board?
The Celtic Fans Collective had planned silent protests at home fixtures as they awaited for a reply to their most recent letter to the club’s board.
However, once Hoops CEO Michael Nicholson agreed to the meeting, which took place on Monday, the protests were shelved.
Now that the meeting has taken place, the ball is seemingly back in the court of the Fans Collective – but opinions are already flying around about what people are making of it.
The Hoops’ next fixture is against Dundee at Dens Park next Sunday, before their next home game comes against Sturm Graz in the Europa League.
