It’s been a long week following Celtic. Isn’t it always these days?
The incoming Ange Postecoglou has been the subject of intense opinion regarding his suitability to be Celtic manager. From coaching badges to his competitive record to temperament – it’s all come under scrutiny.
As it should, to be fair. This is a massive job and it can’t just be given to any old character.
The latest news on the appointment is that the Bhoys have agreed on a compensation fee with Yokohama F. Marinos, paving the way for an announcement over the coming days.
The expert opinion in Australia and Japan insists he can be a success at Celtic.
Supporters in Scotland have been far less convinced.
To say there is unease surrounding this appointment is a massive understatement. Some people are outright fuming, as is their right.
Celtic fans will have to back Postecoglou
However, as we’ve said all week, the reality is that Celtic supporters are going to have to back this guy. What’s the alternative? Protesting a manager who has done nothing wrong? Not supporting the team?
Celtic were never going to listen to fan feedback on the appointment, or change course. That’s not how they do business. We’re all going to have to sit back and see how this plays out.

Even the most negative fans will be hoping that Postecoglou can be a huge success at the club.
And it’s that reality now shining through on social media as people pack up the pessimism and break out the optimism.
With his appointment seemingly now inevitable, there’s no point in being miserable about it…
In other news, Scott Booth out to prove a point to Celtic.
