A report has claimed that Celtic will not rush into any new manager appointment as they look to fill the position left vacant by Ange Postecolgou.
With numerous names linked to the job, the Celtic fans will be desperate to see a new man at the helm so that the club can prepare to defend its treble and make progress in the Champions League.
With names like Enzo Maresca, Francesco Farioli and Kjetil Knutsen all being linked to the role, Celtic are clearly doing their homework to get the right man in place.

But how long should the supporters be looking to wait? Patience will be required if this report from the Daily Record is anything to go by.
The report states that hiring a new manager is ‘likely to run for weeks’ as the Celtic board look through all the possible candidates.
The report also claims that majority shareholder, Dermot Desmond wants to ‘personally assess all the available options’ before he selects the man to take over the managerial role.
In a way, this can only be viewed as a positive. What we don’t want to do is rush into an appointment and make the wrong decision on the new manager. Hopefully, the Celtic board are looking at candidates that are suitable to carry on and develop the style of play we have become accustomed to under former boss, Ange Postecoglou.

Continuity is key here. There is no point in ripping up a tactical blueprint that has been taught all the way down to the Celtic youths just to start over again.
The tactics and style of play are successful. They produce winning football and are encouraging home sell-outs every second week.
If it means waiting weeks to find the correct manager to carry on that style of play then so be it. As long as we are not faced with another Eddie Howe scenario, the Celtic fans will wait to get the right man in place.
