Celtic have got off to a great start to the season, results-wise.

Wins over St Mirren and Aberdeen, although the former was hard-fought, have delivered six points out of six as Celtic defend their Scottish Premiership crown.

With one more fixture to go against Livingston before the Glasgow Derby, Celtic are in a good place heading into the first derby of the season.

So much so that Kris Boyd is absolutely panicked about what the outcome could be should Celtic win.

Kris Boyd is scared Rangers will fall 10 points behind Celtic

The former Rangers man was very bullish with his annual prediction that Rangers will wrestle the title from Celtic this season.

And now, just two games in, Boyd is sweating over a ‘scary’ reality that faces Rangers if Celtic beat them at Ibrox this month.

Boyd told Go Ballistic, “Rangers could be, what, seven points behind Celtic now going into that Old F-rm game.

“To lose that, being 10 points behind Celtic at the end of the end of August, I don’t see Rangers be able to claw that back.

“And I think that that would be the scary thing about it.”

Celtic’s next big move is obvious

Celtic face Falkirk in the League Cup on Friday night and, all being well, progress to the next round should be negotiated fairly easily.

However, with just two days until players need to be registered for the next round of the Champions League, Celtic’s next big move is absolutely obvious.

Players need to be added to the squad quickly to ensure that the play-off against either Karait or Slovan Bratislava doesn’t turn into a banana skin.

All eyes of the Celtic support are on the club right now.
