Scott Bain’s time at Celtic is now officially over.

Celtic decided to release Bain last week, effectively ending the goalkeeper’s seven-year stay in Paradise.

Bain is an enigmatic figure at Celtic. Rarely seen on the pitch but loved behind the scenes, the former Scotland international will now find himself in new surroundings.

However, it won’t be too long before Celtic fans see Bain back at Parkhead as reports suggest he has agreed a deal to a Scottish Premiership club.

Scott Bain to join Falkirk six days after Celtic exit

Celtic announced Bain’s exit on social media after taking to X to confirm the news.

Celtic said, “Celtic can confirm that goalkeeper Scott Bain has left the club after more than seven years as a Celt!

“During his time at Paradise, Scott won seven league titles, four League Cups, and three Scottish Cups.

“Thank you for everything, Bainy.”

Now, it seems Bain will remain in the Scottish Premiership after journalist, Pete O’Rourke, said he is set to join John McGlynn’s Falkirk in a one-year deal.

O’Rourke said, “Former Celtic goalkeeper Scott Bain has agreed a deal to join Scottish Premiership new boys Falkirk on a one-year deal.”

Scott Bain’s remarkable Celtic career as new Falkirk chapter opens

Bain spent seven years at Celtic after joining the club from Dundee in 2018.

Rarely seen on the Celtic Park pitch over the last two seasons, Bain’s career at Parkhead is nothing short of remarkable.

Now joining up with former Celtic coach McGlynn at Falkirk, fans will watch Bain’s next move with interest, especially with at least four games guaranteed against the Scottish champions.
