Celtic have the best squad in Scotland, no doubt about it.

Brendan Rodgers has been able to assemble quite the team over the years, featuring some truly talented players.

It’s why Celtic are the favourites to complete five-in-a-row this season, even if Barry Ferguson thinks Rangers will win the league.

Having the most expensive squad doesn’t guarantee success, but it’s fair to say that the Bhoys dominate the list of most valuable players in the Scottish Premiership.

Scottish Premiership’s most valuable players for 2025/26 season

According to Transfermarkt, Celtic have seven of the 10 most valuable players in Scotland’s top flight going into the new season.

Leading the way at the top is Daizen Maeda, who is valued at £13m.

Cameron Carter-Vickers is second and followed by Reo Hatate, Arne Engels and Alistair Johnston before Rangers summer signing Nasser Djiga takes sixth spot.

Nicolas Raskin is the seventh most valuable player before the returning boyhood fan Kieran Tierney takes eighth spot.

Jota is ninth despite being ruled out until 2026 and 10th spot going to long-time Celtic target Lennon Miller.

Celtic should be dominating the Scottish Premiership again

Winning the league is a non-negotiable for Celtic and anything but that will be seen as an abject failure.

Even though their Glasgow derby rivals have been busy in the transfer market it’s obvious to see that, on paper, Celtic are the superior team.

Not only does Rodgers have extensive knowledge of the players at his disposal, he is a proven winner and knows what it takes to ensure the trophy will be lifted at Celtic Park once again.
