The sponsorless version of Celtic’s new Adidas away kit has sold out in all sizes apart from XS on the first day of pre-orders after fans fell in love with the new design.

A homage to the Love Street side that won the title in dramatic circumstances back in 1986, the two-tone green top is a real looker.

Its unveiling and sale have been anticipated for weeks after the design leaked this summer.

Celtic opened up for online pre-orders at 8am this morning and, by lunchtime, the official shop account informed fans that all but the XS size of the sponsorless version had now sold out, with another online shipment not due until September.

However, fans may be able to get their hands on one when it goes on sale in stores this August 18th.

Some fans prefer the sponsorless design because it prevents the promotion of betting companies while others just prefer the simple aesthetic.

The version with the Dafabet logo can still be found online in every size.

The sponsorless sell out is another sign, after unprecedented demand for training gear and the home kit, that the Celtic and Adidas partnership is going to be a very fruitful one for all parties over the coming years.

Celtic will wear the Adidas hoops for the first time in a competitive match this Sunday when facing Hamilton at home in the Scottish Premiership.

In other news, 67 Hail Hail writer Hamish Carton has had a go at predicting Neil Lennon’s lineup for this weekend’s match.
